January 30: Attending the US Chamber of Commerce public consultations on the Beyond the Border Action Plan in Washington, DC, followed by the US Department of Commerce Working Groups on US-Canada Regulatory Cooperation on January 31.

February 9: Releasing a paper on Canada’s prospective role in the Trans-Pacfic Partnership through the CD Howe Institute.

February 23: Chairing an expert’s group meeting hosted by the Canada-United States Law Institute  on BtB Action Plan (Washington, DC).

February 29: Participating in a dialogue on Canadian energy exports with Macdonald-Laurier Institute, Institute of the Americas and 3Click Solutions, hosted by Norton Rose in Calgary, AB.

March 23: Speaking on Regulatory Cooperation at the CUSLI Conference “The New Perimeter Initiative: Will Security Trump Trade?” at Case Western Reserve University School of Law  in Cleveland, OH.

 In the pipeline:

Working on a One Issue, Two Voices report with Christopher Sands on the BtB Action Plan for the Canada Institute at the Woodrow Wilson Centre.

Attending cross-Canada roundtables with Canadian business leaders on Canada’s new emerging market strategy, organized by Norman Paterson School of International Affairs .

Preparing reports for Macdonald-Laurier Institute on Canadian energy exports and also on future prospects Canada’s foreign investment screening.
