Jeffrey Phillips, MA, is the Managing Director of Dawson Strategic. He oversees the development and delivery of key projects for the company and leads the company’s energy practice. Prior to joining Dawson Strategic, he worked at Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) for four years, first as a Policy Analyst in the Energy Sector and later as Advisor to the Associate Deputy Minister.
While at NRCan, Jeffrey contributed to advancing a number of key files, including foreign investment in Canada’s uranium mining sector and shale gas development in Canada. He was responsible for providing strategic advice to the Associate Deputy Minister on a range of natural resource issues, from oil and gas market developments to sustainable mining initiatives.
Jeffrey holds an M.A. Political Science from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management from Carleton University. He is completing graduate certification in Sustainability Management at Ryerson University.
